“Spring” Into New Fitness Goals!

April is here and so is the warmer weather! It makes you start to think about being active outdoors, which is great! But what if you're fitness and health has taken a back seat these last few months, or perhaps over the last year?

Unfortunately, many of us have been not meeting the physical activity guidelines, especially during the pandemic. Going straight to an activity without adequate movement IQ is akin to running a marathon before learning to crawl. It's not safe and no one wants to spend their summer on the sidelines with an injury.

I recently gave a corporate presentation titled "Fitness & Health During COVID-19", where I discussed the importance of meeting these adult and youth guidelines, reading nutrition labels, weight management, and how to deal with stress in these challenging times. Prevention and management is key to stay healthy and persevere through the pandemic and beyond!

New Website & Free Exercise Database Available!

www.getyourfitnessfix.com is NOW fitfxtraining.ca

I recently relaunched the website under the same name as the business, and added a FREE exercise library for you! If you've been working out on your own and want to make sure you're performing the exercise correctly, you can now do so on the website or on the FitFx Training YouTube channel.

Each exercise and stretch is listed by category and alphabetically, and provides details on the involved muscle groups and level of difficulty. You can watch the video tutorial for proper cues on how to perform that exercise, as instructed by a Registered Kinesiologist.
