How To Do Jump Lunges
Jump Lunges are a great plyometric exercise that can help you build muscle, power and strength in your legs, and they can also be included in your workout as bodyweight cardio or a finisher to your session!
Level/Difficulty: Intermediate To Advanced
Muscle Group(s): hips, legs, feet, core
Equipment: none
Exercise groups: Lower Body Exercises, Full Body Exercises, Lower Body Exercises, Core Strengthening Exercises, Upper Body Exercises, Posture Strengthening Exercises
Coaching Cues:
Position into lunge, jump and switch position of each leg in mid air
Before starting:
Be sure to take your time as this exercise can be very exerting.
Position yourelf into a lunge, with both feet hip width apart
Push your feet into the floor to jump high off the floor. Switch the position of each leg in mid air to land.
Land by softening each knee to position yourself back into another lunge. Repeat your reps and alternate legs.
